Resources to enrich your studies

To complement the scholarships and merit aid that Honors students may receive as they enter Northeastern University as first-time students, the John Martinson Honors Program offers several awards and scholarships that can be applied towards tuition, global experiences, and research and creative endeavors.

Honors Scholarships – Tuition

Applications are available each Spring semester.

George Alden Trust

Eligibility Requirements

  • Good academic standing
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Active participant in the Honors Program
  • Maintain permanent residency or exclusively reside in Worcester County, Massachusetts

Amelia Peabody Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

  • Good academic standing
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Active participant in the Honors Program

Joseph A. Coolidge Award

Eligibility Requirements

  • Enrolled in a single or combined major in the Physical Sciences (Chemistry, Physics, Biomedical Physics, Biochemistry, Environmental Science) or Mathematics
  • Demonstrated academic achievement, leadership, and community engagement

Research and Creative Endeavors

Students can apply for awards to support their research and creative endeavors. These include the PEAK Awards and the Honors Propel Grant.

Global Experiences

Honors-specific funding for global experiences includes the Honors Global Bank Account and the DOC Fee Waiver.
